Walking With God – Whit George

What does it really mean to walk with God? Not just believe in Him, but actually journey through life alongside Him? Drawing from Hebrews 11:8, where we read that Abraham obeyed and went out not knowing where he was going, we are invited into one of the most honest and freeing pictures of faith in all of Scripture. The Christian life is not a single dramatic moment of surrender but a long, progressive walk made up of countless small steps of obedience. Each step may feel insignificant on its own, yet every one of them builds upon the last. Psalm 37 reminds us that our steps are ordered by the Lord, and Jesus Himself did not say merely believe in me but follow me. This message challenges us to ask a simple but searching question: what step is God placing in front of us right now? It might be a conversation we have been avoiding, a habit we need to surrender, or a quiet act of service. The adventure of faith is not about leaping into the unknown but about trusting God with the next small, faithful step. If we keep taking those steps, we may one day look back in wonder at how far He has brought us.
